Equitainia

Equitainia, the home of the performing horse, is a newly established riding and training centre based in North Shropshire. As a licenced riding establishment with comprehensive insurance we offer opportunities to riders and non-riders to learn and train in the skills seen in the movies – come and try a lesson in trick riding, a jousting experience or a day of wild west activities!

As one of only a handful of such centres in the UK we strive to lead by example with quality instruction at an affordable rate, providing value for money in an area which has until recently been closed to the general public.

All instructors are either commercial performers, riders, or qualified in the relevant area of their expertise. Safety is paramount in every aspect of the training we offer.

We have a wide range of horses from novice rides to highly trained stunt horses. On the day of your lesson we will give you a short riding assessment to match you with one of our horses so you can get the most out of your experience with us.

Note: Helmets are provided but riders are also welcome to bring their own as long as they are to the BHS riding school standard (click here for details). All styles of riding suit flexible clothing that allows your skin to breath. Sports wear is ideal. Jodphurs with a high percentage of stretch are more suited to trick riding. We will continue to train in rain (as long as the horses’ will continue to work) so if the weatherman gives a risk of showers please bring a light weight waterproof top.

There are tea and coffee facilities on site but please do bring a cool drink as most lessons provide an excellent work out!
